Registration
New Student and Kindergarten registration for the 2025-26 School Year:
Elwood School is accepting registration for the 2025-26 academic school year. If you have a child who will be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2025, or you are new to our school district, you may stop by the school office to submit your completed registration packet. If you have any questions, please contact the school office at 815-423-5588.

Residency Re-Verification
Elwood School checks residency every school year during registration.
Copies of the following documents are needed for re-verification:
Category 1: (one copy of one of the following documents)
- Current Real Estate Tax Bill
- Signed Lease
- Mortgage Statement
- Closing papers
AND
Category 2: (two copies of the following documents)
- Gas/Electric Bill
- Vehicle Registration
- Voter’s Registration
- Current Driver’s License
Registration Fees:
The Board of Education voted to waive all school fees for the 2025-26 school year. This includes general registration fees K-8th grade, the initial gym uniform purchase, and all sports and club fees. PreK Tuition, school breakfast and lunch purchases, and the 8th grade Cap and Gown fee are still in place.
